The mentality of the inhabitants
Grumpy grandmothers on buses, disgruntled saleswomen in stores, impudent vendors of excursions and photos with animals, suspicious owners of guest houses. General carelessness, laziness, indifference. The Crimean motto is: "My hut is on the edge, I don't know anything." Do you want to hear a lot about yourself? When entering the bus, stop and ask the driver how much the fare is, and a crowd of indignant grannies will unleash their righteous anger on you - you occupied the passage for two seconds.
Many locals are ill-mannered. They do not know how to restrain negative emotions, react sharply to justified criticism, are rude and think of themselves for no reason. They give out remarks in the spirit of "Why did you come here at all?" Of course, there are exceptions - there are intelligent and cute, but on the whole the impression is that. Honestly, we have not met such disgruntled and irritated people anywhere else.
Dangerous drivers
Impatient drivers who honk even before the green light comes on are reckless and violate traffic rules everywhere. Nobody heard about politeness on the road. They do not like visitors, because they slowly and carefully drive along the serpentines.
"I park like a king" is also about local drivers. By the way, this is a disease in the south of Russia in general, and vacationers from the Kuban do not lag behind the Crimeans. Probably, there is simply no other way - there is a problem with parking.
Service? No, you haven't heard!
The word "service" has been learned in Crimea quite recently. If you are spoiled for Turkish hospitality and animation, you are in trouble.
The resorts are accustomed to living at the expense of vacationers and act according to the principle "and so it will come down", because an unpretentious tourist will agree to any shack and will endure any inconvenience, once he has arrived so far. And it never occurs to them to take care of creating a reputation and get a regular client. This applies to everything in general: hotels, restaurants, excursions, taxis, museums.

Alas, the quality is unlikely to improve anytime soon. What to do? Come to Crimea without high expectations, or don't come at all if you are not ready to sacrifice comfort and money for the sake of nature.

Vacationers are a separate sore subject of the Crimea. They are noisy, dissatisfied and do not know how to rest. Even on vacation, they fuss and get nervous.

Few old buildings and streets have survived in Sevastopol, Evpatoria, Bakhchisarai, Kerch, Feodosia, Yalta, but basically everything is in a sad state.
Somewhere there are beautiful buildings of the USSR era, which are still functioning. They fit organically and even add color. But for the most part it is devastation. Broken glass, rusty fittings, destroyed and abandoned buildings.

Souvenir markets are the scourge of the Russian south, and Crimea did not escape this fate. I hate them with all my heart! Chinese trinkets, obscene lettering on T-shirts, sailor suits, captain's caps and magnets haunt me in my nightmares.
