What to see in the Asakusa area
The main attraction of the Asakusa area is the Buddhist Senso-ji Temple, which was built in the 7th century. There are large Kaminarimon gate - the main symbol of the old part of Tokyo. It is interesting to see other Japanese shrines - the temples of Asakusa and Dempoin. The entrance is free everywhere.
Sensoji Temple is adjoined by a bustling trade highway Nakamise, where more than fifty shops with Japanese delicacies and souvenirs are open. Goes perpendicularly Shin-Nakamise Street, which sells curious antiques and restaurants. One more Kappabashi street created for those who are dedicated to the restaurant business. How to get to Asakusa
The Ginza Line, Asakusa Line and Tsukuba Express pass through the Asakusa area. The Tobu railway station is also located here. If you prefer water transport, take the Tokyo Water Bus.
