Berlin Wall
Its length of 160 km divided the city into two parts for almost three decades. The three-meter-high structure symbolized the separation of country, city and people, preventing residents of the communist eastern part of Berlin from visiting the capitalist western side of the city. In 1989, the wall was destroyed, but during the existence of the strict regime, thousands of people were killed seeking to see a "better" life.
Today the wall is almost destroyed, and the remaining 1200 meters of the structure are decorated with graffiti by artists from different countries.
Brandenburg Gate
Another of the most famous sights of Berlin, the photo and name of which is included in every guidebook and history textbook. The gate is the business card of the city. Prussian regiments marched through them in 1871, marking the founding of the German Empire. Almost six decades later, in 1933, after the torchlight procession of the Nazis through the Brandenburg Gate, the establishment of the Millennium Reich was proclaimed. Reichstag
